The Mesta Machine Company, located in Homestead, Pa., was the first industry to break ground in the borough in 1899. The company employed many in Homestead, and did so until it closed in the 1980s. Mesta Machine Company was long known for its tools and equipment, which were vital during WWII. This image is located on east column E of the memorial.
