Womens Army Corps Private Marjorie Bird of Portland, Oregon was the first person that pilots met when they landed at the Fairfield Suisin Army Base in California. Bird drove a labeled Jeep with signs such as, "Follow Me" or "Stop." Bird guided airplanes to different parts of the air base. This image is located on east column F of the memorial.
