This photograph was taken during the War Bond Parade in East Liberty. War Bond Parades were popular during WWII and were meant to stir the national fervor of the country. Often, these parades featured local high school marching bands, soldiers, and as seen here, a giant balloon locomotive. This image is located on east column G of the memorial.
