A color guard leads the parade of U.S. Army units along the Champs-Elysees under the Arc de Triomphe to celebrate the liberation of Paris from Nazi occupation. Parisians lined the streets to cheer the Stars and Stripes as it passed by on August 25, 1944. This image is one of the large photographs on the east wall of the memorial.
